Political relations between UK-EU

Perhaps you should suggest what we should do now, rather than say what we shouldn’t.

This is why you have been lined up as a brexiteer. Lots of defending the crap that’s happening, without suggesting how we get out of this mess.

To be fair there is little we can do. As longs as Frosty the Showman is doing his shit and Johnson and the rest are shouting nonsense they want no truck with us. Why would they? Only one side holds the cards'

If we were to try and rejoin the SM and CU now we would be vetoed out of hand. Why should they? The effects will be far worse overall for us than the EU. Best bet is let us stew - even go through with the pathetic threat of Article 16 see the breakdown on the UK and have us desperate banging on their door for help then go.....

"hmmmmm - maybe - lets first talk about your Euro membership and freedom of movement...........oh and whilst we don't have any sort of EU Army you will have to sign a pledge to join" - that is the only way this is going or alternatively JRM's 50 year run out period and see how things look then............I wonder who voted for that?

No, you’re making noise for no reason. You’re disagreeing with posters without actually offering a solution.

You know you’ve made it when the Swiss Cheese muncher likes one of your posts. He wums via likes. He thinks your wumming. Congratulations.
I get it, you can only think one way on everything or you’re not allowed to post, got it.

I wasn’t making noise for no reason, pointing out the Norway option is a bad one for the UK is a key point in my opinion, as is discussing what the actual real Brexit argument is.

But hey ho, you lot carry on.

Not so much Labour as anti -tory - call me stupid but being lied to and seeing promises broken with mine and my children's futures restricted I despise this lot - I suppose those who don't are ambivalent to being lied to - to seeing manifesto pledges broken - to seeing Brexit pledges broken - to seeing UK industries and public services decimated because for some reason they are the patriots and I am not ----- mad eh?
Well I’m not going to defend the Tories but you mentioned paying extra tax so that’s what I wanted to comment on. You will pay more tax under Labour and that’s a key policy of left wing politics.

In that daft analogy, it's the table that would have spared us empty shelves, lower trade figures, and not seen farmers and fishers cursing the madness of leaving the SM.
Did I say leaving the table was a good idea?

Fucking hell

I have just seen the latest example of going our own way and making our own rules. What used to be British Standards. - we now cut and paste EU standards and stick the UK flag on them. Electric goods anyone? Taking back control.

I think this is unlikely. The reality for the EU 27 is they want the block to be solid and their significant concerns right now are the governments in Poland and Hungary.

For the UK they would want us in the SM and CU as it just makes life easier especially for ROI. Us being out doesnt help any of them. The Euro thing is not a thing. 9 member states don't use the Euro and they don't have to. Its a non issue. Same with an EU army - its just an idea that gets floated around a lot but it doesn't have any massive momentum behind it.

If we wanted to fully rejoin or just re enter the SM/CU I would think their only concern would be how solid the commitment would be.
