Meanwhile, in re-education camps and in Hong Kong....

Sunak's star fades as the furlough starts to fall away and the true job devastation manifests itself and he has to fess up the London is losing out to the EU

I have to hand it to Nissan, leveraging their position to a total of £200m in Govt subsidies and making themselves the Brexit poster boy.

While Brexit is such a political fault line, the Govt cannot afford for Nissan Sunderland to fail, which puts the company in a strong position for future subsidies. Well played.

what is also not trumpeted is that since Brexit NISSAN has axed 1500 posts. They employed quite a bit of fixed contract labour which - at the end of contracts - they have chosen not to renew. Whilst thats not making people redundant it is jobs that are no longer there. That is why the lads who work there are pessimistic despite this announcement because over all its a net deficit in jobs which they think will continue to accelerate.

Just wait for BMW to speak to Merkel……….

so they should - we have GIVEN them £100m + for no return - no profit share. Merkel should be speaking to Macron too as he will be pissing himself as NISSAN is owned by Renault which in turn is 15% owned by the French government - the profits therefore leave the UK of which one assumes 15% go to the French govt - Brexit eh? Bloody Hell.

I assume the price for Nissan of this enormous subsidy was their silence throughout the 2006-10 Brexit wars.

in a desperate bid to claim Brexit wins here goes probably another £100m to keep a smaller vehicle plant going - they are attempting to re-nationalise UK vehicle assembly in a bid to cover their arses - and another French owned company will benefit and take the profits back to France - Macron is playing a blinder

Frostie taking to the Irish Times to complain about the rubbish deal he negotiated and refuses to help facilitate in NI.

I‘d link to the article but you all know what he says/is whining about.

In other news skiing trips for kids likely to be nixed because of Brexit. Bit like ERASMUS, rock bands...add your own to the list.

UK is also banning bottled water from Europe in January, they have to get it tested by a several new bodies we hope to create in January (fat chance). If by some miracle they do appear we will be spending millions to assure the British public it is indeed...water.

Still, lucky that we are getting rid of all that red tape and regulation, eh?

Not sure why anyone buys bottled water outside of London. Proper scam.
