neither here nor there to me, I think we have to change from a midfield two or three with or without him next season and if he went we'd buy top quality replacements that we'd get another 5 years out of, meaning that we are providing our academy with more time to nurture the right players through, rather than get to 2 years time with Yaya seriously in decline, no resale value and maybe not with the ideal players from the academy ready to step up.
Who are these suitable replacements though? Best in the world at what he does (on the pitch)

Gonna be a massive miss if he does leave. The only benefit of him doing so would be to our rivals, imo.

I think we've got the best out of him, I think he's lazy in defence which puts unnecessary pressure on our backline which I believe contributed to the frailties earlier in the season, his legs are only going to fade from here so those powerful runs are going to go, yes he has the physique to hold people off but there are younger players who we can mould into the next Yaya, who can also pass the ball and are physically strong. Remember when Yaya came here he wasn't renowned like he is now, he played a holding role and we brought the next level out of him. I have absolute faith that we can bring the best out of whoever we bring in, if Yaya was 26/27 coming off last season then it's completely different, but at 31 this is the perfect moment to sell him, and evolve the team. If he stays I'm sure he'll do well, but for me it will have to be in a midfield 3 with proper cover behind him, not Fernandinho driving himself into the ground by February because he's doing the work of 2 players.

He has disrespected the Sheik, the club and the fans. He has made us and himself laughing stocks.
All this after signing mega 4 year deal only last year.
If we keep him he could be like a cancer in the dressing room.
Sorry to say I would sell now while, while he is still worth something.

I'd like him to stay, a world class player, a joy to watch.
But we won't fall apart without him so if he goes

It's already clear to me, his agent has been approached, this birthday cake bollox is just be a convenient wedge ...

Imagine if he is on Van Garlic's list? City would not trade with them, not a prayer !
