Population Growth

lol, early 40's is not quite pensioner age!! He's still got to work a few more decades to support us.

My husband pays enough income tax and other business related taxes for both of us and I obviously don't claim any sort of state benefit, so we as a couple are net contributors. But I buy things like everyone else, so pay VAT, fuel tax etc etc

But you don't pay tax with your money. Surely you are more of a scrounged than those pesky oaps that worked all their lives?

Well he thinks I'm worth the money, so I must be doing something right.....can't think what ;-)

Our population won't be aging for too long. The state of the diets and sedentary lifestyles young people now adopt will see life expectancy drop significantly when current you g people get older.

I have no idea how to solve this - whilst the 2nd and 3rd world desire the living standard of the 1st world (all relative) with all that that entails - population will grow and grow - probably until there is a biblical disaster which resets the clock. as it were. :-(

Another ice age should sort the population problem out, at least in the North, if the last one is anything to go by.

Also, we could take a leaf out of the Eskimo's book and stick all those of pensionable age on icebergs to meet their frosty end.
