Let's face it, he wasn't awful in his first season back at the rags. Indeed, his goals probably kept them out of a relegation battle.

His decline this season has a lot more to do with his bruised ego than his ability. Messi would probably have had the same problem if he'd come to the PL. No one player can be bigger than the club.

He'd make a good Piñata. When I heard he'd built a museum for his hometown and community, I thought " good on him, nice gesture". When I realised it was a museum about Ronaldo I thought " What a twat". He joined United in a vain effort to surpass Messi's CL goals tally. Messi, a man who goes about his business saying very little, just producing the goods and holding a lifelong ambition of delivering the World Cup for his teammates and his country. Ronaldo has always been about individual goals, which maybe admirable for some. I think he's a twat.
 
Just on way back from game. What a circus that was. So many locals supporting Portugal just cos of Ronaldo. I only clapped one goal Akanji's obviously. Half of em still celebrating when he scored the offside goal when plain as day he was for me anyway and I was behind that goal. Really hotting up now this tournament.

What’s it been like out there? It’s made a change not to have to watch pissed up England fans lobbing plastic chairs around. I’ve enjoyed watching it more than I thought I would.
