Am i missing something here? I dont know the age of any guys on here but i was born in 1968 and went to primary and secondary school's in the day when we turned up for a kick about before first lesson then a mini game at 1st break, then a good hour session at lunch, another mini game at afternoon break and a good hour after school. It continued after i left school and we played amateur and 5 a side every week. What im saying is can a pro footballer only play 1 game a week without having issues with recovery because this theme is trotted out on a regular basis. Or is there something to do with the intensity of these games that make it undoable? Its 90 minutes of running around with some twisting, turning, jumping and tackling. Im going to get slated for this but we need someone in that team who hates to lose. Someone who will drag the team up by their socks when we are losing. Someone similar to what Roy Keane did for the rags, Viera did for Arsenal & Kante does for Chelski.
