Positives...

definately this.

Gone are the days of City being unable to string 3 passes together. Mancini knows what he wants from his players, and they are settling into the style of play well. We went away to a difficult ground, and absolutely dominated them first half, with possession football.

It will come, give it time.

#1 positive to me is that we have a CB pairing who, at least in the opening three games, look as good as any in the league. I dunno what they are feeding Kolo Toure, but he is thrice the player he was last season and Kompany is as good as ever. I really hope they maintain this as if Boateng and Kolarov settle to either side of them, that will make us stronger defensively.

If we had stuck to passing along the ground in the second half we may have done better..too many times we tried chip passing in the second half and the Sunderland players were straight on them.. Keep it on the floor lads, we do better that way. Just a thought.

We have had a difficult start to the season with 3 tough games.

Again I re-iterate that last season we got two points, this season 4.

Also out of the next 8 games we should get quite a few points:

Blackburn (H)
Wigan (A)
Chelsea (H)
Newcastle (H)
Blackpool (A)
Arsenal (H)
Wolves (A)
West Brom (A)

4 at home and 4 away.

We should be looking at minimum 18 points from these which I feel is very acheivable.

Fair enough, but no we didn't create a lot of chances.

Thats the thing with how we play, we create very few chances, so its crucial that we score on those few we get. But when we fail to do that like today, we lose. Not really surprising since a team needs quite a few chances on average to score.
We created more than enough chances to win, and had we taken one of them the game would have opened up a lot more
