To be fair, I was skipping through the thread and Rach's post caused me to stop and wonder if I had missed something about the blue being a hooligan or something. It did sound like she was talking about the guy who got mullered. Obviously the other poster posted in haste, and I'm sure he didn't mean any offence, just got the wrong end of the stick... No need to crucify him.

RIP.

Sorry if already posted, R.I.P blue.

Murder inquiry in Blackpool after pub attack man dies
Tony Pepper
Tony Pepper's condition deteriorated in hospital

A murder inquiry is under way in Blackpool after a man found seriously injured outside a pub died in hospital.

Tony Pepper, 45, was found with head and facial injuries outside the Devonshire Arms, on Devonshire Road, on Wednesday evening.

He was taken to the Blackpool Victoria Hospital, but his condition deteriorated and he died on Friday,

"We have been left devastated by what has happened to Tony," his family said in a statement.

Officers want to speak to a "young" man who left the pub at about 2200 GMT and ran down Claremont Road.

'Gentle person'

Detectives in the resort described what happened to Mr Pepper as a "very nasty" assault.

Before his death on Friday, his family released a statement which read: "He is a real character, a gentle person and is well loved and would never hurt anybody.

"We would urge anyone with any information whatsoever to come forward and tell police.

"We would not want anyone to go through the pain of what we are going through at this moment in time."

r.i.p..blue...hope the evil little **** that did it gets his life ruined..

very sad news, condolence to his family and friends, hope they find who did this. R I P.

Tragic news. Best wishes to his family. RIP.

I know we can all get passionate about football, especially a derby game, but it's sad when that boils over and turns into something like this.

It's very sad news - whoever he supported. It's not be confirmed by anyone yet that it was either football related or that he was a City fan. The wankstain who did it was wearing a Utd shirt, but that's all anyone has to go on.

It was football relatred it was reported earlier in the gazzette As previously stated it is my local and full of rags.

Such a shame, and I never thought that was a bad pub to be honest, I have no doubt that whoever did it will be caught pretty sharpish, Blackpool is not a big place.

By the way there are loads of City fans in Blackpool and the Fylde many like me are ex Manchester lads

Your right ducado it aint a bad pub as a rule but when united play it seems to go down a peg or two.I feel the landlord (who i know )should get a hold on it although now it may well be taken out of his hands with the police involved.

Somebody knows who this lad is because he wlked into the pub after the attack and walked out with two people after it so hopefully it is only a matter of time before he is caught.

true about ex manc(city) lads in Blackpool me being one ex gorton lad
