Possible moving of EL3 Fans

If you're moaning about the view of the game, watch it on the telly. For me, going to a match is about supporting your team and sucking in the atmosphere... srsly... people moaning about views.

So to sum up, some City fans want away fans back in the South Stand so they can 'have a bit of banter with them'.

Rather than chant and support the club they'd rather 'have a go' at the away support. Personally i'd prefer it if the whole stadium vocally chanted in support of MANCHESTER CITY, not enter dialogue with the away fans.

At Villareal although the atmosphere wasn't great (i still feel was attributed to the conceeding of an early goal, plus Villareal only brought around 100 fans so the South Stand would have been half deserted anyway) There does need to be some solution though, because the crowd sounds disjointed, one section trying to create an atmosphere, the other bantering with the away fans, and the whole atmosphere fails to get off the ground.

For me, trialing the movement of away fans to ES3 lets the club explore the option, which ahsn't been given a proper trial run yet.

i think its the first time i've agreed with you wnrh

wasn't the banter, posted on here, with the wolves fans centred round a 'fat woman', 'two bald kids' and a 'fat ugly bloke'

must really get the crowd rocking banter like that

I ended up in the corner next to the away fans at a cup game a few years ago. The regulars in there seemed to have a great time, I can fully understand why they equate banter with atmosphere. The atmosphere in there was good its just that was purely confined to that corner. It seemed to exist in a bubble completely separate from the rest of the ground. The match seemed to be a sideshow.

The lads near me had a great time, trading insults with the away fans. When the match finished one of them turned to his mate and said "That was f...ing great, really enjoyed that, good lads these Forest fans."

sounds about right

Ive got an idea, for the remainder of the season, everybody in East Stand Level 3 stay sat down at the matches, but sing continuously for the whole game in your seats. The atmosphere would improve and no experimentation or changes would be needed. You can even have mini breaks to sip your bovril.

Thats if you do go

I just don't get this trialling shit. It's a football ground, we have had one for over a hundred years. There are lot of them in this country and around the world. If the people in charge of the ground can't understand what works and doesn't, then they should be sacked and get someone in who does. FFS are we going to play musical chairs for the next five years, in which time they will have extended the ground and we can all start again.

The actions and chants of the away fans gets a direct reaction from City fans in the blocks near them, regardless of language. Those Aris fans would have been shite in the 3rd tier, as it was they created a great atmosphere.

You can guarantee the Germans will fully understand any insults thrown at them so no need to polish up on your German for this one.

I think those Aris fans would have been noisy wherever they were.

Buts isnt the point that ALL of the atmosphere that night was created by the Aris fans. They completely drowned out the City fans. Perhaps if the City fans had been separated from the Aris fans, and in one group rather than two, they might have been able to make themselves heard.

And just imagine what it would be like now if we drew United in the FA Cup. They'd get most of the SS, our vocal fans would be spread around the ground. It would be like a home match for them.

Absolute bollocks, as the Carling Cup semi proved

another load of bollocks from the club, i'd say the real reassons to sit away fans up top is because they would be easyer to police with no segregation lines so all the chaps in 109 onwards might aswell just sit down, which is all the club are really after, it cant improve the level of noise because there would be no banter
