Post Match Thread: Barca vs City

We need to get over our stage fright. I'll take that tonight as a little pride restored.
Let's move on and consolidate a top three finish now.

can be proud of the last 40 minutes, Hart was a fucking hero, Sergio let us down, have to expect a player of his class to bury that penalty no questions asked.

The rest of the tie wasn't good enough, the gap's too big and we need a big rebuild. Time to put Yaya out to stud and move guys like Nasri, Kolarov, Milner et al. on, think time has come for Demi in games like that, he's just not got the legs. To compete with Barca you need 11 technically gifted players, who are agile, quick and hard-working, we just severely lack that throughout the tie.

Again have to ask why Pelle put the wrong team out, with Nasri just a complete disaster, it was set up to be a Navas type game, sit and try and counter on them, Yaya just doesn't have the legs to cope in the heart of midfield. If you were ever going to use Fernando as a sitter tonight is the night, maybe he's already on his way out.

That's pretty much the season gone and the concern now turns to the Baggies and the fact we've just had to put a hell of a shift in and will these players pick themselves up and put the hard yards in when it matters in the league now, because they haven't often enough throughout the season, we can't drop points.

Only conceded one and kept all players on the pitch so progress of a sort I guess?

Hart MOTM by a mile.

Navas offered a lot more than Nasri.
