Post Match Thread: City vs Everton

I sit in either 210 or 211. When Everton scored there was a bunch in the posh seats that all jumped up and were singing and basically taking the piss. I don't mind too much if an away fan sits in the home end and keeps himself to himself but to be jumping up and singing you're just asking for a smack. I don't know why it took so long to get them out.

I pulled the steward well before they scored,to be fair to him he said he'd asked for help to get them out, took till just after they scored and lads confronting them before he got any help. One scrawny little **** was giving it the old "come ed then, let's AV it"....kicked off just near the toilets on the spiral...210 has had away fans present at every game this season.I won't be taking my little girl to the Derby because it's gonna be mental, mark my words.

I thought the introduction of Navas was the turning point. As a team we seemed to do everything just that little bit quicker. I thought first half we were very pedestrian like, unfortunately I think Yaya played a big part in that. De-Bruyne added a completely different dimension to our play.

Martinez is clinging to our second goal as the reason they are out and he and his side are apparently "heartbroken" at the decision.
The same Martinez who only a few weeks back when asked about the Stones foul on Sterling in the league game, said something along the lines of, "we don't want video replays for everything, human error with referees is part of the game and its something we have to accept at times"....................... SO FUCKING ACCEPT IT!!!

It's just great to be back at Wembley, although Pellegrini really needs to come up with something as Klopp seems to know exactly how to set up against City.

I think that day, was more a case of us turning up expecting to win and then error after error. He surely will learn and I would fancy us now that their honeymoon period is over. The way they play their players will be fucked by the time they play us. Non stop running around for 95 minutes is going to take its toll over a long season as it is already showing with the injuries. Anything can happen in a one off game though so we will see.

As for the pedestrian first half, I think Pellegrini set it up wrong in the first half. Toure playing that role isn't for me. He is either one of a two at home or further forward. By playing him there and delph on the left it just slowed us down, Toure was average and so was Delph but to be fair, Everton were much fresher and up for it in the first half.

However, Pellegrini did well last night. His subs were spot on and changed the game.

Pellegrini should have learned from his mistakes from November against the scousers. I think Everton have a lot more players I'd want at city than Liverpool. The way they are playing now shows how poor they are. Fingers crossed Vinny will be back and with Sergio being unplayable and zabaleta splashing into challenges like he did last night we should put Liverpool away.

played City, created loads and looked threatening. If we play like this a few more times we should win the league

Manager got everything right. Players reacted well after an early setback. Sterling, Aguero and Fernandinho all excellent.
We were poor in the first half I thought, and if he had to make subs to put it right, doesn't that suggest he got it wrong in the first place?

What was Toure's contribution? At least he took him off after 66 minutes but he should not have started.

In the end we battered them and deservedly went through.

I thought EFC were very poor. Seen Lukaku have some great games and score great goals, but he made Bony look good. My worry going into this game was Lukaku one on one on Demichelis but it didn't happen and instead City's defence dominated them. The only area where we looked weak was in midfield and that got sorted 2nd half.

I thought much the same. City struggled 1st half and Everton had it under control. 2nd half was entirely different. Navas stretched them, and it was one-way traffic.

Fair play to Manuel last night. I have been very critical of him lately, but his subs were the reason we won the game. Hopefully Kevs injury is not as serious as it looked and he will be back soon. Great to see Zaba back and firing. Oto is like a heat seeking missile without the guidance system. Maybe some serious coaching would calm him down and make him hold position. That or tranquillisers.
