Post Match Thread: City vs Southampton

We looked ordinary at best again today, really piss poor performance from Southampton in the first 20 minutes, from then on they bossed the game. This team is nothing more than ordinary under Pellers, a test of a great manager is the ability to make new signings improve their game, in this respect he has clearly failed, I give you Bony and Sterling as just two examples. Roll on next summer when hopefully we can get a manger in who can motivate and get the very best out of his players because what we saw today was just another average performance, it could have gone either way and those that think otherwise are simply delusional. The sheik will not stand for mediocre and for most of this season that is exactly what we have been, to be behind the rags for todays match is simply not acceptable. Perhaps a little of the team ethic that Leicester have would not be lost on the present City team, we had it once but unfortunately it seems to have been lost.

Playing shite and still top of the league

This !

with kun working back on fitness ..he always starts slow after coming from injury we know that , merlin back too and the captain yet to come , I am confident we will turn it around !

Just how fucking pathetically bad is Willfried?
£28m for a complete and total duck egg.
Why not play the young lad instead?
Does my head in does Pellegrini.

Even if the manager is totally aware that Bony is quite innifective, they'll still be implored to play him to try justify the outlay.

vast improvement today inspite of the injuries and match fitness, because pellirini played 3 in midfield, has it at last sunk in ? highly unlikely. we cant play yaya in a 2 and if he plays like he did today he`d struggle to play in a 3 sadly. delph and fern were great today.

also thought the officiating got them back in a game that should of been out of sight

Well due to the usual fucking mess up from metrolink not long got in so just had a sandwich and a coffee to warm up and calm down.

Today we were great for about 30 minutes and should have scored more.We then started to lose our way a bit and never really regained it. The amount of times we gave the ball away was a worry, sometimes dawdling on the ball, sometimes just a poor decision. The defence at times was all over the place and once even seemed to part like the red sea and let Mane...i think...stroll through. I agree with someone else who said at times we seem to lack leaders out there when we start to come under the cosh, as we did a bit in the second half. Kolorov, Sagna, Delph and in patches De Bruyne and Sterling all played well. Some praise for Willy who i have slated in previous posts. While he doesn't inspire any confidence and was all at sea for the goal he made some good saves as well.Well done Willy.I don't think Toure was as bad as some posters made out but his legs have gone really except in patches. Great to see Merlin back please don't get injured again!

The ref was absolutely shite and both managers mentioned how poor he was. A clear handball for the penalty missed and some of his decisions were baffling to say the least. It is amazing with so much money in the premier league and refs now being professional that the standard is the poorest i can ever remember.

We are nowhere near our best and need to start getting some injured players back soon but a win is a win. We also need a new forward in January, almost anyone who knows how to finish even if just for the short term. Aguero is always injured and Bony is never going to be a fit for us.

100%correct , the slow lethargic way the players get behind the ball is pathetic, how they get away with it is baffling, makes us easy to score against. A good manager wouldn't allow it.
