Decent enough game, could have won that on another day.

The only people I see really pissed off are the people who think Juve are shit because they're from Italy and haven't watched them in 20 years. They didn't get to the CL Final for no reason; they're an absolutely quality team and man for man are just as good as us.

1-0 away isn't the worst result in the world.

Now there's your dose of measured sensibilities, feel free to go off on the traditional Bluemoon outrage. Fun fact, we actually have a spike of guests come on our forum any time we lose because you lot have a reputation in the wider football community of being laughably ridiculous when a result doesn't go our way.

I'm sure tonight will be the night that proves them all wrong though.

People are pissed off because we've squandered a great position at the top of our group, with another poor performance - off the back of two others.

Loving the sanctimony though, great up there on your high horse.

Lack of effort? He clearly wanted it and was still trying towards the end of the game which resulted in him basically handing Sterling a chance on the platter.

Saying that, if we're talking about a lack of effort, surely Yaya's name has to be mentioned first?
Absolutety but then again people who claim KDB was our best player need to watch a re-run of the game.No-where near our best player. The best player was taken off before the hour mark.

On the face of it, it seemed we played alright, Had some decent possession and had more shots than Juve. But Juve were in complete control throughout just like they were at the Etihad.

Pellegrini got it wrong again with the formation. Generally, your best bet of breaking down a 5 man defence is by using the flanks. So we stick Navas, who has never ran inside a fullback since we've signed him and is completely useless if their fullback can match him for pace as Sandro can and did and KDB who wants to drift in and create rather than offer the run in behind on the flanks. The team was formed to accommodate Yaya tonight who didn't have a terrible game but didn't offer enough to be worth sacrificing the rest of the team for. Poor from the manager yet again.

Aguero had no service, KDB can't play on the left like that when there's no runners around him, and Navas is pointless in a game we're chasing. Otamendi was woeful at the back. Completely erratic, went walkabouts far too often, dived in unnecessarily and was at fault for the goal, the rest of the back 4 were borderline competent. It's good to see Clichy back and fully fit.

The two ferns in midfield were the only ones bar Hart who i thought had good games. Those two have formed an excellent understanding and i'd love to see them two plus one from Silva/KDB/Delph play together

Can't believe anyone thought it was ok to go into a new season with an injury prone aguero and another striker who can't hit a barn door.

And then we put KDB out wide when we have no creative players.

Ultimately it leaves us with no teeth upfront and no creativity.

We've got a great team thou if we play it correctly and sadly this is why we fail.
It's why PSG, who came into money around the same time as us, have got into the later rounds of the CL and we haven't.

A decent manager would do much better with these players.

He should have gone end of last season but he didn't so werr stuck til end of season but he appears to have learnt nothing

Without silva we just don't function

Just got schooled today by a much superior team

We just seem so light weight and have no zip no one that can score more than a couple a season

O well could be worse could be finishing 3rd like that other shower and have to watch that week in week out
