thought we played well and deserved something out of the game-but again the sheer folly of going into the season with 2 strikers is costing us.

Fair do's.
Pretty arrogant statement that, but anyway.
I think there are loads of players currently playing in the premier league who shouldn't be. I clearly just have higher standards than you.
Higher standards than the England manager, our manager, Liverpool and probably numerous premier league managers who would be in for him if we were to let him go , as well.

Didn't play that badly but we played right into their hands by not putting the onus on them to break us down (and leave space for us to break.

In the end, as the goal showed, they did to us what we should have have been doing.

Why we didn't start off defensively, frustrate them and then later on grow into the game and punish them I will never know. Naive? arrogant? careless? MP is a mix of all 3 imo

Big time!! Who ever thought that it was a good idea and to get rid of Dzeko also needs fucking off from the club IMHO.

I'd like to see the trajectory of the ball after it left Sterling's boot, 'cos someone got enough on it to send it for a corner. It was a goal but for the interception.

After his connection ball was going wide - ball scraped the calf of defender - so corner. Sterling hit the ball with his heel - pillock

Sterling has already had seasons in the Prem. The thing that gets me though is that some of our fans can't see a work in progress - especially when he cost a lot of money

His finishing is a weakness but as somebody else mentioned, he could have legit had 20 goals by now if he was good at it. He's a young lad, 3 years younger than the Lingard rag who everybody is saying needs time to develop.

If a 20 year old is missing 20 goals in 3 months then I think some people should think about how talented he has to be to get into those positions that often, and how big a player he'll be for us after a few years working on his weaknesses with our coaches. He reminds me not on talent but on attitude of Ronaldo when he was at United. He was seen as a diving waster who was never going to be good enough and kept either skying it over or jumping on the ground. He turned out alright. Sterling is spectacularly young, we have players in our youth team who are older than him.

I know what your saying but its hard to coach something into a player what doesn't seem natural. He doesn't look comfortable in front of goal, he doesn't seem to have the knack of getting your body weight behind the ball and having the balance to finish. Yes he has the speed and can still chip in with the odd goal because of the amount of chances we will create.

Probably. Have you watched England recently.
The point is, he does not show enough technical ability. He doesn't pass well, he doesn't beat a man other than with his pace, he can't shoot and often runs off without the ball. His first touch is suspect and he misses absolute howlers.

But, he's young and English...

Look mate, I hope I'm wrong. But I'm not seeing a top player. I cannot see what he brings that Patrick Roberts or numerous other youngsters wouldn't.

We have Aguero, Bony, Kelechi, and Sterling can also play there.

As it is, because Aguero starts when fit, the other forwards don't play so it would be pointless having another forward unless we are going to change the way we play

Getting beat is sad, but I don't think many people expected a weakened City to do much better at Juve. They are not in the Barcelona or Bayern bracket, but they are in the rung below and always very difficult to beat at their place. Had we had Kompany, Silva and a fit Aguero we'd have been a different proposition.
