Post Match Thread | Manchester City vs Crystal Palace (LC)

Not seen any of it so can't comment, just think that having a go at our own players on a great night isn't needed.

He was pretty shit tbf, Zaha had him every time. But yeh no need to focus too much on it after a good night.

Was pleasantly surprised by the performance tonight against what appeared to be a pretty much full strength Palace side. Iheanacho was fantastic, looks like we have a real star in the making with him. I'd give him a good run out against Norwich at the weekend too and let him carry on where he left off.

Great performance. Excellent team selection from MP; it was good to see MD, Eli and Nando get some game-time under their belts and Nacho trusted to be our central creative force. Despite the changes, it was still a team full of quality and when I saw it, I was sure it was good enough to win tonight and so it proved.

No argument that Kelechi was MotM; in fact, he was my choice, but there were some other outstanding displays, notably Eli, Jesús, and Fernando. It was brilliant to see both Roberts and Garcia make their City début and Manu's goal was the icing on the cake.

The evening was topped off by events in Trafford and the hilarity of the rags losing the penalty shoot-out. It made for a great journey home.

Enjoyed the game, and thought everyone put in a shift. No complaints from me....oh, other than the PA system sounding a bit shite.

I wouldnt say funny, that **** @stony was in there, he always dampens any humour.

Was a pleasant change from my usual experiences though.

My lad had fucked off out to god knows where to shag god knows what, and meanwhile I am left alone to fetch my own beer from the fridge. Good god man, this is fucking Britain, not communist fucking Russia. How the fuck am I expected to be in a good mood when I have to skivvy after myself!?
The selfish little **** is probably enjoying himself too. Today's generation has no fucking respect.

You miserable sod, that's what they do, my lad moved back up there to be nearer to City, then went to the f**king gym tonight, came home to watch a stream of the second half, and I was ahead of him following it on the BBC website text.

I wonder if this will be enough for Pellers to pick Nacho ahead of Bony now... he really, really should.
Really sad about Zabba's injury, hope he can bounce back. :(

Great to see Fernando showing a turn of pace tonight. That was evident early last season but then disappeared. He looked a class act tonight & was probably my motm filling the Yaya hole but still getting forward, doing a lot of 'unseen' work ala Gaz Baz.. Classy on the ball too. Very promising.
