Post Match Thread - United (h)

Too many round pegs in square holes, no pace, no invention, no pressing.

2 of those 4 could be addressed with Dave who similar to Zab is playing for us a year too long.

As for the game we've seen pens given for less than the first handball shout given against us, score that & we'd have cantered to victory. Strange that VAR didn't even look at it but spent what seemed forever to sad;y correctly award them a pen as for our shout early in the second half that VAR did look at for 10 seconds....disgraceful.

I wasn't even that upset yesterday. That's how bad football has got for me - mainly due to VAR. I used to feel sick for a week before derby day but I really can't be arsed anymore. It's sucked all the pleasure out of it for me. Just seen a leg breaker in the Villa/Leicester match and passed as just a yellow on review. Utter intended leg breaker.

"The Professional Game Match Officials moved to explain the decision in a statement, clarifying that because Fred was falling and his arm was being used to support the body, it was not handball."
I seem to have got the wrong player.the one standing up with arm behind his back then when kev i think it washit the vall he brought his arm out and stopped it,arms away from the body/deliberate is a pen, same as in the dipper game, have they explained that one today? oliver both times

You're joking with your 'our midfield was overrun' comment. Possession stats don't win games before you say it, but 72 per cent possession and 22 shots is hardly evidence of our midfield being overrun - quite the reverse.
Those stats are when we had the ball. When they had it they went through us like a knife through butter .

Aaarrgghh they all hate us.
Or perhaps the law was changed in the summer so that a player can receive treatment and then take the penalty. Admittedly there's a comment about the treatment being quick but the law was definitely changed. Must hurt when the pundits know more than you.

I was under the impression that the law was changed that if the challenge that caused the injury led to the booking or sending off of the perpetrator then the
requirement for the injured player to leave the field of play after treatment is not actioned, regardless of where on the field the infringement took place?

I was extremely disappointed at so many people leaving yesterday just after 80 minutes. I understand the elderly, or disabled supporters having to leave a bit earlier, or those with some dire need to hit the road with a long trip ahead, but it was embarrassing seeing so may leave when the team needs support. I wanted to tell some of my fellow supporters and wished I had, but how do you tell thousands? Hence my note on this thread. After City scored, the exodus slowed down, but it’s just not good enough.

Left with a minute of extra time to go, we didn’t look like getting another.
