Why was Summers never given co- credit?

I suppose I could Google it but it's easier to ask you
The song is copyrighted as being written by Sting, in other words he wrote the words and the music, by music I mean the melody, there is no writers credit for the guitarist or the drummer on the track.
Therefore they would receive zero royalties from the song.
They would get mechanical rights for having played on the song but that is all the songwriting credit goes to Sting.

It's like in The Rolling Stones, Brian Jones and Bill Wyman were always feeling very pissed off about Mick Jagger and Keith Richards getting all the songwriting credits and therefore money which is very considerable monetarily.

How? I mean, where do they stop to fill up for more fuel?
They are sort of nuclear powered. They have plutonium batteries that generate heat which is converted into electricity.

The batteries have slowly been losing their heat generating properties as the plutonium has degraded, which is why NASA have had to steadily shut down the various functions of the spacecraft as the available power has reduced over the years.

NASA chose them because solar panels would have been useless at the distances they were planned to travel.

That was sort of my point. Not just the Police, any band, if 3 members of a band sit down and write the music and the 4th writes the words to the tune, is it the case that at the time the 3 were too lazy to say give all 4 of us credit ? Then 15 years later, when the royalties are still pouring in, it's too hard and costly to prove ( in court ?) that they wrote the tune ?

I think you're overlooking that these songs were written in different times, and mostly during the early stages of artists' careers.

Unless they were very efficiently represented or advised, the vast majority of musicians / band members were young and carefree. Most would be happy just to be in a band and getting a few quid a week... not overly concerned with the future. The chance of them thinking 10, 20, or 30 years down the line is very slim.

That's why a lot of artists were very badly (and very easily) ripped off by agents/representatives in the past. Even the biggest stars like Elvis.

I can remember the long running dispute within Procol Harum's recording of "Whiter Shade of Pale"
Mathew Fisher, who was the original organist and composer of the music was not given credit. The song was released n 1967 but Fisher did not make a royalties claim until 2006 when he sued Gary Brooker. The case when back and forth before the courts before eventually escalating to the House of Lords in 2009 (the first time for a copyright dispute).
Fisher case was successful, but the long delay in bringing his claim reduced his award.

It's impossible for self driving cars to accurately assess each and every situation they may find themselves in.

Humans are similarly confused at times and misinterpret what's happening, but a whole new level of liability is going to be opened if and when a computer finds itself making the choice between a head on collision with a lorry or hitting a child crossing the road.

I don't think driverless vehicles will ever be completely autonomous, but there are aspects that will aid road safety and override an action, like preventing a car pulling out of a side road immediately in front of a motorbike.

Yet they have 300 driverless taxis in San Francisco. I went in one last month.

Waymo taxis.

I worked with one of Matthew Fishers sons back in '95 and recall him telling me all about his dad over a couple of pints after work. Even back then he was trying to get credit. Always found it funny that Pete was hugely into Drum n Bass, a far cry from WSOP

Did they have a human sitting in the drivers seat?

My grandson has just left the UK where we've had very warm weather. If they go to a supermarket he goes to the cooked chicken counter and stands there.
And of course you don't have central heating and most homes are open plan, kitchen living room and hall all wide open.
Reverse cycle air conditioning, heats our house up in 5 minutes.

Whiter Shade of Pale, or Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, by Bach. As it s original composer knew it.
