Post Something Interesting

I’m sitting in the yard drinking beer. I thought I’d take a photo cos that’s really interesting. It looks like someone drew a dick on my boat

Nice sack train, shot at a devil may care, jaunty angle. Interesting perspective.

High heel shoes were first used in the 16th century for Persian cavalry soldiers. They gave the horsemen better stability in the stirrups when using their bows.

Quick approximate conversion from degrees C to F -
Double the C + 28 (sometimes easier to add 30 then minus 2)
eg 25c =50+28=78. Actual is 77
eg 10c =20+28=48. Actual is 50

Interesting.
Talking of bows, back in the olden days, every parish in england had to produce a certain amount of bow stays for the kings armies.
The best wood for bow making was yew.
Now the problem with yew is, it's poisonous to livestock, so it cant be grown where sheep or cows graze.
So what did they do I hear you ask.
Well, they grew the trees in churchyards, where no animals were grazed.
That's why there are numerous old yew trees in churchyards today, and are rarely seen elsewhere.
Next time you pass an old church, have a look. Chances are it will have one or more old yew trees.
Thank you for reading, hope you found it informative and interesting

We drive on the left because English kings and noblemen at the time used to be right handed and used their right hand to fight and joust so attacked on or too the left, whereas Roman charioteers and Napoleon were or fought left handed and as such needed to ride on the right in order to fight or joust.
Left handed cunts should have been used as fire logs.

It is also the reason we shake hands with our right hand. If you approached a stranger with your hand extended you were not going to draw your sword and fight.

The almost total eradication of the buffalo in the US had only one purpose, and that was to starve the indigenous first-nation population into oblivion, genocide that is firmly under the carpet of white history. "Plausible deniability" trumps any moral issues, aided and abetted by a complicit and racially driven press. La plus ca change etc...
