Pozo

According to reports there's a buy back clause that runs for two years.

Yeah, that's what the reports say, however I'd be surprised if we ever decided to action that clause. His progress had certainly stagnated, partly due to injuries, partly due to just naturally not having the talents we hoped he'd have, and yes partly due to his confidence taking a denting when we were forced to play him as a lone striker due to injuries. There seem to be better EDS options now for us, Iheanacho for one, but also Ambrose looks like he could be promising.

Pozo was well down the pecking order,at his stage he needed football and he was caught in no mans land here.....a move away with clauses is perfect for all.

The EDS setup can bring on players so far but the bridge to cross into senior football is big at the best of times notwithstanding the top club in the PL. They won’t all make it even if they look world beaters in the various youth league levels. Pozo got a few games in for us and looked ok at times but never really good enough to justify an extended run in the team. We can’t keep them all and with a steady stream of young talent at the club we are going to have to get used to really good young players leaving.

Good luck Pozo.

Shows just how much we (well, all fans of all clubs) overrate their prospects.
Tbh did fans who watched pozo even rate him?

Not sure if it was injuries that did him in but he didnt even look any good in the eds which is why I was so surprised he got games for the first team.

Lacks the pace and power to make it a decent level imo.

Always will remember his goal against burnley though

600k Daily Mail says.

He was just not good enough, I'm afraid, was completely out of depth last season when called, nowhere near Premier League standards. Good luck to boy.

To be fair he wasn't even the best forward in our academy. It's best to offload the dead-wood as early as possible.
