Elano can do the job.

it will be Otamendi if Sagna is not fit though personally I'd put Maffeo there with Navas ahead of him (KDB can wait for his debut start).
Lets put dinho on the right back position YAYa de bruyne silva with midfield trio , all out attack against palace

How close is Zaba to a return?

Sagna replacements if he's not fit:

Milner X
Elano X
Book X

Otamendi
Maffeo
Fernandinho

Great idea against a counter attacking side, get rid of the cover in midfield. Can't see any problem with that...

Hopefully the fact that Sagna carried on playing for ten minutes after the knock, before being substituted at half-time, suggests that it may not be as serious as first feared. If it was worse he would presumably have come off straight away. People are reading a lot into him being seen applying an ice pack to the injury, but hopefully that was just a precautionary measure.

If he doesn't make it, I'm fairly sure Otamendi will play at right back.

The point is we wont risk him either way as precaution.

I don’t think we should underestimate palace. This is the sort of fixture that separates the PL with almost every other league in Europe. They have assembled a decent squad over the last couple of years and Pardew has them all working hard and with a decent shape, no superstars but a very strong imposing team that can also play a bit. It will not be easy but that said we should be able to cope with the physical battle and 1 goal should be enough for us to win it. Hopefully they will open up a bit as they are under no pressure for a result and we can find some space for the front players to work in.
