Nothing reported on Physioroom re Sagna and they're accurate and current. Same side as per so far

We know palace can score goals and can come from behind very well so we will probably need 3 goals to win

Time to unleash our attacking options,i think sergio will be on the bench though as he gets back from the states a couple of days before so bony get's his chance if he is fit

Hart
Maffeo Kompany Mangala Kolarov
Fernandinho Toure
Navas Silva Sterling
Aguero
This is what I'd go for, Otamendi is supposedly poor at RB & hasn't played a PL game before, not sure this would be the best match for him to start against Bolasie.

Only issues with this team is the South Americans, with them playing essentially tomorrow they won't have much rest time. Hopefully Aguero doesn't play so long against Mexico as he played almost the full 90 last match.

Hart
Maffeo(Sagna) Kompany Mangala Kolarov
Delph Toure
Navas Silva Sterling
Aguero(Bony)

Could be on the cards. Think we need to try & stick to a winning formula rather than changing formation to 3 at the back or some of the other suggestions. Ideally we will be in a strong position at 50-60 minutes and able to take off Aguero - but it will be a tough match no doubt.

Also props to the OP, great as usual.

Hopefully the fact that Sagna carried on playing for ten minutes after the knock, before being substituted at half-time, suggests that it may not be as serious as first feared. If it was worse he would presumably have come off straight away. People are reading a lot into him being seen applying an ice pack to the injury, but hopefully that was just a precautionary measure.

If he doesn't make it, I'm fairly sure Otamendi will play at right back.
Ah well !! hmpph!! I suppose he'll do.

;)

If Sagna is not fit, I hope to see Maffeo start but I don't think Pellegrini will do it.

What about a back three of EM, VK and NO with Kolarov and Navas as wing backs?

Ferna and Yaya in the middle, De Bruyne\Sterling and Silva ahead of them behind Aguero.

Looks ok in my mind but it's deciding what's best between changing shape completely for a dangerous away game, or keeping the shape and playing players out of position.

In fairness, I wouldn't begrudge giving the job to Maffeo, like the kid.

This ain't fifa mate
