Hard to see when any of the EDS lads will ever get a run out when they're not picked tonight.

this is why I'm so frustrated, games like this are the only games they will get a chance. having watched quite a bit of them this year and seen how talented some of them are its just so disappointing that just one couldn't be in the first team

His final ball is a problem I agree but maybe it's not all of his own fault.

When we're against 10 defenders and committing 1 or 2 players in about the penalty spot it doesn't leave him a lot of options. A lot of the problems stem from our players (lack of) off the ball movement.

you may have a point , but navas always goes for the near post low cross , which invariably gets blocked by the first man , we need players to give him an option at the far post.

Scratch that, never mind Navas the team's wearing that abomination of a kit tonight.

Good opportunity to get some rythem back into our play, mostly the same players and formation.

Hopefully we'll get the job done early and then give some kids a run out.

Much rather this and get a bit of confidence than risk damaging our confidence, some kids confidence and going out of a cup early.

so if they aren't part of our strongest team they dont play ? so when do they get a chance ? pre season next year maybe. what happens if we lose before the fa cup games- do we not play them then either
You're all over the place pal.

You're also refusing to answer my two points: if we win we will get future easier ties to blood one or two. Also, the club have shown with Nacho that they know Exactly what they wre doing easing kids in.

You know fuck all about player development to be frank. I have seen hundreds of your kind wailing about giving this player and that player 'a go' over the years. Without exception, those players are playing in the Scottish second division or in Dutch non league.

so because I'm not the manager i can't have an opinion. your honestly telling me the team i put isn't good enough, if we can't beat sunderland with basically a first team there are serious problems ( only two major changes from west ham) . btw he clearly is blind as navas has been terrible.
I've not knocked your opinion pal - in fact I clearly said that most players we field would be strong enough. I think getting the majority of the main squad back to winning ways is more important at this moment in time than giving the newer lads a run out.
Because they are not part of our strongest team. That lineup today is our strongest possible starting 11 bar Fernando, but he is still a senior player.

We have lost 2 games in 7 days, if Manuel starts playing around with even one or two kids, coming off the week we have just had, he will have the book thrown at him and rightly so.

Tonight is not the night to be using the youngsters. We need to get back to winning ways before 2 very important games.

Like I said earlier, the correct decision tonight.
Makes sense to me.
