People need to lose this 1970s mindset. The club is cleverly bringing through the first generation of decent academy prospects. The last thing the likes of bloody Maffeo need right now is responsibility for going out the cup on their shoulders.

what have i just read - 1970s mindset ? giving one possibly two youngsters a chance is a 1970s mindset ? if we go out with a first team and maffeo then its maffeos fault ? that doesn't even make sense. one of the first things a young player needs is responsibility especially in games like this against a poor second string sunderland team ( pretty much_)

a bunch of 17/ 18 year olds managed to beat us last year for newcastle, somehow they were good enough

That line up is a good decision by MP.

Our finishing on a whole has been woeful this season. The number of chances we have missed against Chelsea, Watford, Palace, Juve and West Ham is ridiculous. We need our strikers to find their mojo sooner rather than later and this is a perfect game for Aguero to start to get his form back.

Put them to the sword early on then bring Yaya, De Brunye and Aguero off.

Thankfully, sense at last. This place is riddled with Premiership and European Standard managers at the moment all claiming Pellers hasn't a clue.

Maffeo and Roberts had to start for me.

We need to see if Maffeo is able to make that big step up and Roberts because anything is more creative than Navas.

If Sagna picked up a knock Maffeo would have to start at Spurs anyway..

This is a great cup to win as it is done and dusted before the group stages of the CL thats why Maureen always plays a very strong team in every round of this competition.
Mp has done the right thing we should be balls out to win this tie and go on and win it.
