Clubs have voted against it again, for the third time. They are now allowed to name 9 subs though:

I would love the political reason for them rejecting this. Some clubs ripping their own noses off to keep the rule.

I guess the smaller clubs think it'd give the bigger clubs an advantage, as they have greater squad depth.

Disagree as I think 5 subs massively favours the big sides.

I have no problem with the smaller clubs standing their ground either, good for them.

I'm OK with the rules as they are...imagine the time wasting doing one sub at a time, our games are stop start enough as it is.

If we’re suddenly up 4-0 one game, and have 9 instead of 7 subs that should make it much more likely for some of the youngsters to get some minutes
