Premier League & COVID discussion | 4 positive cases now required for postponement

Why can't they play the kids that smashed Watford on Saturday?

They'd get a point minimum.

Because most of academy kids who played/were on the bench on Saturday cannot be included in the EPL calaculation (They haven`t played in the league before) so therefore we could not meet the 13+1 threshold.
Lets be clear though, this situation gave us the opportunity to request a cancellation, which we did, but no idea how we could have met this 13+1 requirement if we did not!

Surely it would be sensible for the EPL to relax that rule in line with the FA Cup during covid??

Mrs Vienna and I returned from two weeks in Florida on Sunday, so we went for our two-day test earlier, and we have both tested positive.

However, neither of us has any symptoms. No cough, no fever, no loss of sense of taste or smell and we can still laugh at the rags!

However, clubs have been allowed to include players injured and on international duty on their list of absentees when applying for a postponement.
And this is why the FA have caused the issue in the first place, now looking at amending the current rules
