Premier League Games 11/12 November '23

Not really been following the nature of their injuries but is it due to them being in the Champions League and Carabao Cup, or have they just been on the receiving end of loads of bad tackles?

I suspect the former, and it would really put into perspective how good City have been for so many years, to run with a small squad and still compete every year. Newcastle get midweek games and more than half their squad falls. Transitioning to being a serious club is not easy.
Big Steve on the Big Six last night addressed this point quite well. Newcastle are at the Mancini stage of their City copying blueprint development. They have a coach the fans love and they are enjoying the ride but they have a long way to reach our levels. FFP is delaying their rise as well.

Fair play to Trippier. He's not making their schedule an excuse for the performance. He said that this is what they wanted (the CL games).

Maybe pundits will take more heed of Pep when he says we are always there in every competition and it is remarkable we are. It is. Trippier having a bit of an argument with some fans, never a good look.

Yes ffp stuttered our progress a bit. Prior to it coming in we managed to improve the squad from bang average to top four/champions league standard.
