Yes we had that hunger after the Newcastle defeat but have dropped off just lately. This is probably a combination of fatigue and the last few games being fairly easy so we have coasted them, now harder to up it again.

The good thing is, it's unlikely Spurs can hit top level for both games v us.

I thought it was 5:30, was looking forward to an afternoon in town followed by a game.
Will have to make do with an all dayer on Wednesday

If our players at 0-0 in the Champions Lg game, had put the same effort in blocking the shot, as the Huddersfield defender just did v Llorente, at 0-2 in a meaningless game, we would be at least level in the tie.

Hopefully not. Our season will become very clear after Wednesday as potentially we may have two games less to contend with, so providing we don't cock up tomorrow it will be our first choice eleven every game.

Lucas Moura will be a big threat on Wednesday, he can go past players like they're not there.

Is there any coach welcome planned for Chelsea tomorrow? I’m guessing there will be; they did one for Spurs recently didn’t they.
I also expect the emotional temperature to be ramped up even further pre-kick off, in tribute to Tommy Smith (RIP).

We do defend like that on the odd occasion but I think we have to do it so little we kind of lose the habit. It still annoys me watching it, so soft, even then Ederson should save it.
