The person in the ground best placed to see offsides is the linesman. They may make the occasional mistake, but 90% of the time they would be so close that no-one in the ground or watching a broadcast in real time would be able to see any better. Just leave it to the linesmen and forget the endless analysis. If there is a decision that is obviously wrong in real time, by all means debate it, but there is enough good stuff to talk about in even the most boring games without endlessly looking for mistakes by the officials.
