Oh, I agree—just because you don’t see the player coming in, and do not intend to take them, doesn’t mean you did orient your body for the challenge in a “reckless manner” so that, if there is contact, it is endangering the opponent.

It’s why including assessment of intent is so problematic for some of the rules of the game (there is no reference to it for yellow/red card offences but somehow referees still try to factor it in).

It is a fairly bad challenge ino & easy for the ref, but it's strange that we have had 4 worse & more obvious ones, none of which resulted in a red card.
