It'll be crest of the peak, nationally, in the best case scenario and a before it in the worst case scenario. I suppose taking a weekend off and putting the players into a quasi-quarantine would give them time to slow it down at a club level, and then much stricter testing and bubbles for players might allow them to carry on games?

It is only going to get worse as it spreads more lovely , i cant see the point in a blanket ban at the weekend and the season cant be extended because of the World Cup

As I say health and safety is much, much more important than football matches. I am not and never have been a fan of Brendan Rodgers but he’s right, in my opinion, when he says that the PL are giving in to the TV companies.
After listening to JDB last night saying about how it has affected him I am worried about the health of these young men and women.
How must their parents be feeling? If any of my offspring were footballers I’d be scared about them.
The same as I am about the general population.
Sorry I don’t want to appear to be a scaremonger or a scaredy cat but it’s here it’s present and the numbers are rising.
As I say just my humble opinion.

We don’t know what the criteria is for postponing a match due to Covid, so it’s hard for us to comment authoritatively on it.

Dean Smith and Brendan Rogers are actively questioning if there is any perceived favouritism of certain clubs. We are all assuming there is because of our own inherent biases. We don’t know though and we are never likely to find out.
