It's such an obvious red card I have no idea why Carragher is discussing it.

VAR is going to check the foul either way. It's better the referee gives the red when he thinks he's seen a foul and then VAR cancels it then we all wait 10 minutes for VAR to make a decision for the referee.

Villa having the makings of a good team there, some players who wouldn’t look out of place in a top 10 side.

I think Sheffield United might struggle with that front two, there’s far better strikers in the Championship.

Villa have been one of the highest spenders in Europe. Over 210 million in last few windows so should be aiming for mid table this season
