Premier League Games 21/22/23 Jan '23

They weren't Title rivals when we sold them!
Exactly! Teams sign players like that to improve their position. I said at the time they were likely to improve considerably and everybody thought I was mad.

I'm not being defeatist or going all "boo-hoo our precious title :(", just admiring the ability of a more than worthy opponent. We've won 4 titles in 5 seasons, we've won 6 PL titles in total. The fact we've won literally any trophy at all is more than I ever expected as a kid. Finishing top 4 and having a good cup run is fine by me.

And of course anything can happen. Arsenal could lose every game between now and May. All their players could get scurvy. But they're currently on track for 100 points and are very much on track to finish with at least 90. That's a massive total to get. Sometimes it's fine to just say "Well done, mate" to a rival.
Make your mind up they “on track” for 90 or 100?

“Could lose every game” more nonsense

They will most probably slip up and lose a few games, but right now they look determined to win the title. We cannot afford any more defeats or even draws, whoever we play.

Aside from ourselves I think they have the dippers and Newcastle away which could be tricky, possibly Fulham could give them a game but aside from that I expect them to win most of the rest.

Did they check Zinchenko there out of curiosity? Looked closer to being off than the bloke who actually scored.

League will hinge on the games against Arsenal, we need to be winning both
Yeah, that’s what they were checking

I thought the way they celebrated there might come back to bite them. Over the top to the extreme. Very over emotional - which I believe will be there downfall
Yes, they are an elite 800 million pound costing premier league team celebrating like Wrexham beating Real Madrid in a CL final, just like the rags at Irish Disneyland did last week
