It is surely time for the PL to bin PGMOL and set up their own game management organisation.

PL will never do this so long as the decisions favour the "correct" teams. The PL want and need a competitive league. This is not a conspiracy theory it's commercial fact. It will continue to be like this. City are not the "correct" team which is why we don't get the rub of the green.

Very good point. You hear it all in the rugby, TMO and ref going through the decisions, and it’s very interesting too.

The only reason I can think it’s not done in football is they must want to hide the reason for some of the decisions given.

Pundits and senior ex pros need to start campaigning for a change in the way VAR is currently used. No point Gary Lineker, for example, tweeting about decisions and mentioning it on MOTD when he feels like it - he needs to start using his position to call for change.

As usual it's for the TV. So they can plan for when the game kicks off. When they can put half time adverts on and when it will finish. Give or take a couple of minutes. Ready for the next 'show'

Not a major media outlet, but nice to see this line is being given a bit more attention. Hopefully it'll give the league pause for thought if they're genuinely trying to manufacture a tight title race for ratings.
