I was just going to edit my post to say similar.
Thiago's push had far more power than Kane's push, the difference being 1 defender stayed stood up.
So the big takeaway is that the Spurs defender should've gone down like he'd been hit by an IED and maybe they would have got the decision
You can't even blame players for conning the referees, there's almost no downside and the potential rewards are huge
They've been talking about stamping simulation out of the game for years but haven't done anything. If anything the situation is worse with VAR, fewer players are being booked for diving than a few seasons ago
