Premier League Games 21/22/23 January '22

The point is, there were 2 marginal decisions yesterday (Kev's pen and the red card for the foul on Laporte) and 2 marginal decisions today (Offside for their second goal and the pen). 4 out of 4 of those marginals went against City. That is a pattern, and it's obvious to anyone who wants to look.
The red card on Armstrong is not marginal. The penalty Jota wins is DEFINITELY NOT MARGINAL. As written by a poster, in this case VAR manipulation reaches a new level. Used to actually "correct" an obviously fair decision to a wrong one. Why Friend accepted this intervention is also an open question for everyone -and speaks volumes about him too...

PL is already transforming into Primera, a league where favoritism rules, on as well as off the pitch. Ask yourselves if Real Madrid ever gets that pen. With all the shit consistently going in their favor for decades, my answer is: no. As for City's match, before even discussing VAR's assessment of the Kev incident, let's not forget that the ref did not even give a foul in real time. Action on the pitch evolved like nothing had happened. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the man performing VAR duties in the match was Mr England. He is the guy who, as VAR, did not correct Oliver for not giving that penalty on Gabby (committed by Telles) at OT. Which should be taught as the definition of "a clear and obvious error", a situation beyond debate. Which is why I refuse to consider it an "error", that's how clear and obvious it was. Nevertheless his supervisors were obviously happy with his performance so he's still working, as we can all see. So is Mariner and others, so will Pawson and Friend...

I could go on and on, but I'm not going to waste people's time. A couple of additional comments though :

1. Let's be honest, the pattern you're referring to is firmly established long time now.
2. Do not expect anything from the media, it would be an insult to your intelligence. The media are full of "football lovers", don't you know? Which is the reason the media are celebrating tonight, the title race is on, you see...
3. How the club's hierarchy is dealing with this situation, that is THE major concern for me. The team was, is and will remain unprotected. Definitely a certainty for the near future (to say the least), let's not kid ourselves. Meanwhile, "external" factors and entities will keep doing their thing, applying pressure and influencing the game, deciding matches, potentially titles. You do not react, you're extremely naive -or extremely incompetent. Either way (and I'm not sure which is worse), whatever happens, let's not pretend we were "surprised" or unaware of the situation. I, for one, won't. And most certainly, will not forget...

Reading here, considering the prem and refs are all against City and fix everything for them to be successful, they aren’t half doing a shit job at it considering Liverpool’s 1 title in 30 odd years and touching ten years since Uniteds last one. If you also believe that nonsense then for your own health give up on football
The corruption talk is as always nonsense. The level of refereeing though is shocking and they way they have chosen to integrate VAR has just highlighted it.

We have obviously benefited from it aswell, to say anything else is pure delusion
