Premier League Games 21/22/23 January '22

What can you say about VAR and the way it's being used ? Do we need a panel of 3 instead of just one telling the ref to look at the monitor ?
Good discussion on Bein sports right now with Gray, De Jong and Keys. Why aren't we allowed to hear the discussions when the ref is told to view the monitor and while it's being looked at ? Why are the officials allowed to hide this wall of silence and why are the fans in the ground being ignored when they have no knowledge of what's going on.
The current situation cannot be allowed to continue.

Said it before you need an ex player from both sides in with the var referee box

Surely the ref will go home watch that & think what was I thinking then issue an apology

The VAR officials should never have sent the ref to the monitor, VAR has made decision making worse.
VAR Thought it was a penalty.

That is what they are subliminally saying to the Referee when sending him to the monitor.

Then the Fix is in, the decision is then supported by both Ref and VAR.

Trouble is this time it so blatantly corrupt. Everyone other than those 2 officials is like WTF.

All VAR has done to our game, supported by evidence, is bring another layer of cheating to the game.

This, all along, has been the problem with VAR. It is not used to correct mistakes or help rule on decisions, it is a tool to influence games, and it is brilliantly effective.

Faceless and unaccountable people sit behind the scenes and choose what gets looked at, what doesn't, and the power they have is unreal. Simply tell the ref to have a look if you want him to change his decision, alert him to something he's missed if it suits the agenda, the list goes on.

It is made all the worse because we are on the big losers from this system, directly or indirectly, or both as has been evidenced this weekend.

And don't even get me started on the tiny measurements being used to determine offside by a system that is inherently unsuited to that kind of measurement.
The "clear and obvious" caveat about when VAR can get involved to change a decision is actually a very clever ploy to enable this.

"Clear and obvious" is clearly and obviously open to interpretation as to what is clear and obvious.

Was today's penalty award to Liverpool a clear and obvious error? Apparently not according to VAR..

The VAR replays shown to Friend of Liverpool were the worst possible, cherry picked the ones that gave the illusion some legs. Jota is a sly **** so fits in well at them fuckers. He initiated the contact and should have been booked. Once the ref gets told to look it’s pretty much a forgone conclusion. Anyway keeps us on our toes.
Bit like the ones given to the Alty fan when he had to give a penalty to Liverpool...

A weekend to forget really

city draw in a winnable game
united win, West Ham lose
Liverpool win
Newcastle win
