For what it’s worth both Lee Dixon and Graham Le Saux said it was a ridiculous red card. I’m still with them. It was silly and petulant but he did not “rake his studs” and it wasn’t violent.

He did it twice, missed the first time, and of course sticking your studs into someone's chest is "violent" its certainly not a normal action is it, and it clearly wasn't accidental.
