Premier League Games 26/27/28 December '23

I don’t expect Burnley to match Liverpool in terms of quality but I do expect them to show more fight.
So many half arsed tackles and attempts to win the ball.

Because i love VK, i really thought Burnley would come up and have a decent season under him, how wrong was i
We all love the guy and wished him well. He's a hero to all City fans. But it became clear pretty early on that his squad are seriously lacking in the quality required to give them a fighting chance of survival in the PL. If we're talking points totals; before kick off, they had 11 pts from 18 games. That's 0.61 ppg. Extrapolate that rate over a 38 game season, and you'd finish with 23 pts. The lowest total to survive was 34 pts (WBA, in the 2004/05 season). If you want to use 36 pts as a figure that might give Burnley a sniff at staying up, that means that in their remaining 20 games (not including tonight), they'll need 25 points. That's 1.25 ppg; double the rate they've managed so far. Or, if you prefer, 7 wins and 4 draws from their remaining 20 games (again, not counting tonight). They've only won 3 and drawn two up to this evening. I can't honestly see it happening.

Can they blow any more smoke up Tront's arse.

That Dipper top wouldn't be out of place on Hough End on a Sunday morning.
