Premier League Games 28/29/30 Sept 2024

Expect Liverpool to thwack Wolves in the late game, but if you’d have given me…

Top of the League, still unbeaten after 6 games, having played Chelsea & Newcastle away and Arsenal at home, with Haaland breaking another scoring record, Foden having played under an hour, KDB out for multiple games and Rodri out for the season having essentially not played this season and a midfield of Lewis, Kova and Gundo(?)…

Yeah, I’d have taken that, even if losing Rodri & KDB is an absolute nightmare!

I don't think anybody really wanted him to go but he'd kind of made his mind up and 40+ million seemed a reasonable price.
The price seemed fair to be sure. I just think we could have tried harder to hold on to him and offer a better developmental pathway than we did. I suppose its very much a case of what a difference a year makes. This day last year it probably seemed a good deal but today if we are honest with ourselves we would much rather have Palmer than 40 million which is still stuck in the bank.

Apparently….Rules state that suspensions from a two-yellow card dismissal can be carried into the next match across all domestic competitions.
Of course they do.

Which only encourages cynical fouls from players that know they are unlikely to play in the next domestic match, anyway.

Chelsea are a good outside bet for the title imo. No one looks brilliant at the moment
Same as every season at this stage. Go back to match threads 12 months ago and you'll find comments like 'Pep has lost it', 'City are worse this season' etc.

City always go beast mode in the final stretch and Arsenal improved after Xmas last year.

Chelsea too much chaos at the back to win the league and Dippers are closest I'd say, 6/1 odds is good.

He didn't want to go. Pep has said this on several occasions and so has Palmer.
I don't know of any other City player that was refused a request to go out on loan.
