Godfrey in a bad way here - had a look of shock about him that players who’ve broken their leg usually do. Hopefully not.
In part caused by the linesman somehow not seeing that ball had gone out of play. How?! It was about 2 yards out!

Oh is that a player getting seriously injured because the referees are too scared of just making a simple decision on their own and need to leave absolutely everything up to VAR.
VAR doesn’t rule on balls going out on the byline so not sure that applies here

They only let play run because Chelsea were "attacking" and would have referred to VAR if a goal had been scored.VAR doesn’t rule on balls going out on the byline so not sure that applies here

If the officials had given the corner off the backpass as they should have done that injury would have been avoided. I’m possibly being a bit hard on the linesman but the ball was clearly out of play.

Hahaha is that Ashley Cole giving instructions to the Everton sub didn’t realise he was on the coaching staff .. “I fink the gaffer wants you to play CB just stick tight to sterling and lump the ball up when it gets near you”..

Not how it works. If it goes dead they flag it, it’s not like offside where they wait and see
Terrible officiating but nothing to do with VAR
