Newcastle being third is damning on the rest of the supposedly decent teams, like Spurs, the rags, Liverpool and Chelsea. They're a perfect advert of how far you can get with a tight defence and consistently beating the teams you should beat. But their highest level is nowhere near as good as even Spurs.

They've taken points off every team in the top 6 except Liverpool
