Why not? The lad is a genuine talent. Came through our academy and has gone onto be the main man for Chelsea. I wish him all the best and hope he continues to do well - except when he plays against us.Not sure if I’m ever happy to see Palmer scoring….

Chelsea offering £45m of pure profit meant we were never turning that down with PSR and FFP so big on the agenda nowadays.
Makes you wonder looking back why we signed Doku and Nunes though.
Could have just promoted Bobb and Palmer full-time and we would have arguably been better overall. Both those lads are going to be £80m footballers each in a few years.

It’s not though is it? It’s mentioned about where he’s come from. A major PL club signing a kid from the PL dominating club. It’s praise on us, praise on the kid and praise on Chelsea. Nobody saw that transfer coming. It’s worked out for all 3 parties.Because it’s always mentioned we should of kept him…

Poorly worded perhaps but some shots you can't stop and just have to hold your hands up, others elicit a 'for crying outloud' response - if you have thin walls and want to tone down the language for the neighbours.I know what you're saying, and I'm not having a pop; honest! In hindsight it does appear so. But he wanted to go and Peps policy is if you want to leave, bring us a decent fee and you can, which he did. Also let’s not forget he is excelling in a mediocre, mid table team.Agree but was it a mistake letting him go?
