Definitely! Happened in rugby league and now the sport in this country is pretty much dead. Any decent players now go to union or nrl. More players will be leaving to play in the Middle East and America with the money they’re starting to throw aboutThey do this and the league will lose its ability to attract the very best.
Think someone said on another thread earlier that no club would actually break the cap based on current wages so probably not going to make any difference.
If all else fails, they can do some work for Al Jazira :)

The American owned red shirt clubs want this. They make money off their brands even without success. They just need to keep costs down to improve their margins.The red shirts won't go for this so it's a non starter
