It will be a true crying shame if this Manchester City era isn’t crowned with a European Cup victory and I say that not Champions league as showing we are the best team in Europe needs to be put down on paper and in history.

The answer is obviously both, but this year particularly, winning the Champions League would be massively important. Beating the biggest winners of the competition and then beating the team that rivals us the most in the current era. Beating Klopp for Pep. It won’t get more epic. And even for those who are very vocal about winning the PL being much more important than the UCL, I would tell them to think about the bitter taste it would be to win the league on one weekend and lose to them a week later with the world watching. They would get the last laugh. We have to win for once and I don’t see a better way to do it than this season
