Premiership>Champions League

PL easily our primary target and personally mine also. You neglect the prem and your prescious cl will be gone quick fast also.

Still pissed at shit tactics and weird thought process by Bobby tonight though if im honest.

Exactly.

And there is absolutely nothing on paper, or looking at the seasons matches that says napoli would beat city. They have lost three so far and are in 7th place! So sorry I don't believe anyone who says they didn't expect to go through.

They get up for the champions league, we have seen this for years. It happens...

The Premiership is more important, because we starting to establish ourselves, and we need to be able to apply ourselves in these types of games year after year....

I'd take the EPL before it. said it at the beginning of the season, and i haven't changed my mind.

I honestly didn't expect to progress, so if we don't then i'm not to bothered.

Appreciate where we are and how far we've come.

I can live waiting till October 2012 for the champions league again.

what i can't live with is playing 38 games in a ELP, and slipping up because of distractions.

We still might get through, if we don't we don't.

the good times are coming.

Sorry but the CL is much more important than the Premiership. We have just added a lot more pressure on ourselves with this result and I dont think it will help us in the league.
Are you on drugs? you are the only one attached to this club to have that view. the club and 99.999 per cent have PL as the most important target.

They must be boring drugs then because I think he is talking sense. Firstly because its a myth that getting kicked out of a prestige competition alleviates pressure on your other targets and secondly because, perhaps not this season but in general, the CL is more important than the premier league. Its a bigger tournament, its worth more money, its essential to our financial growth and profile expansion and moreover its the most feasible chance we have of getting one over the rags (sorry to bring them up) in the trophy stakes - in other words 3 champions leagues could be won a lot quicker than 17 league titles.

The Champions League is unlikely to be won by an English side this season so the most exposure City can get over the course of 2011/2012 is to win the Premiership. The win at Old Trafford reverberated around the world. Winning the Premiership will do so even more. Obviously I'd like to win them both but it's time to get real, acknowlege the progress we're making and enjoy the ride. Anyway we're still not out of Champions League so have a bit of faith and belief.......

Not easy to get through the group stages at the first attempt.

Ok Spurs did it but probably at the expense of getting there the next season.

This season we must focus on getting more points in the premiership than we did last season and so far so good.

Assuming we don't get to the knock out stage we will be better for the experience next time around.

Lets face it we haven't been at our best in the five games played so far and probably need a couple more tilts at it before we can push the better performed more experienced sides in anycase.

The main thing is that we ensure we qualify on a consistent basis in years to come.
