Premium bonds

I would be really pissed off if they ever thought about taxing premium bond winnings.
They would lose the votes of many many pensioners if they did.
Rest assured, taxing any sort of prize money, either premium bonds, lottery or competition , isn’t going to happen. The Government adjust the interest rate instead. Many deposit accounts pay higher interest rates and for those on low income there is no tax to pay on the interest.

I have some. I reckon they're registered to my old address though :S

it's as bad as a City reverse not getting even a £25 prize. I've been quite lucky over the last two months. Just when those bastards at the DWP snatch my WFP, NS 'n I come up with the goods.
Oh tell me about it ! Managed to scoop £550 in the previous 2 months . November was my 3rd barron month this year so far . They always bloody coincide when i could do with a decent cash injection the most !

I can sympathise! I had a couple of no-prize months on the trot. If it had stretched four in a row I would begin to wonder if it was actually 'random'!

I bought some last month so didnt qualify for this months draw.

Anyway my question is..

I opted to leave any winnings in rather than drawing the winnings out automatically. Does that mean any winnings left in increase the amount of ‘numbers’ i have?

If that makes sense

Yes it does. Once you reach the maximum holding allowed they will start to pay any winnings in to your bank account
