You must hold them for a month of course before they qualify to win. So if you bought some today they'd be in October's draw.Is it worth getting 20k worth of bonds for 6 months cos that’s when I need to use it for, banks offering shite rates.
Cheers for that and how quick do you get your money back. You must hold them for a month of course before they qualify to win. So if you bought some today they'd be in October's draw.
But how boring is that?Top tip. If you post up how much you have won without saying how much you have invested or what average % return you are getting then it's pointless.
Also if you are not getting 4% or more then you are better of with a Building Society savings account.
No -I got c£25 out of the blue about 2 years back and Mum signed me up to mine in the 1960’sDidn't realise that they were still going. They seem to have been around forever. Has anyone on here won a middling decent prize (say, four figures)?
Better than a size 10 boot up the hole.No -I got c£25 out of the blue about 2 years back and Mum signed me up to mine in the 1960’s
Beware though, you don't get a guaranteed rate by any means, it's all probabilities on how many bonds you own vs the total prize pot. Once everyone has been paid, the overall total premium bond interest rate is 3.8% or 3.6% as of today. Is it worth getting 20k worth of bonds for 6 months cos that’s when I need to use it for, banks offering shite rates.
With average luck you would win £300 but you might get nothing. Is it worth getting 20k worth of bonds for 6 months cos that’s when I need to use it for, banks offering shite rates.
Mate's wife won £1000 this week. I've had a couple of £500 wins over the years & £250 this month.(£50k of bonds)Didn't realise that they were still going. They seem to have been around forever. Has anyone on here won a middling decent prize (say, four figures)?
I had to send off proof of something for my £2 paper premium bond I had. It was a right faff as you say. Got it all set up online eventually.Seems a right faff checking if my ones bought in 1960 have won anything
Charity donations?£325 this month , not a bad little drop
I would but I'm no financial wizard...did it with the covid bounce back loan (£27k) and made over £900 free money then sent the loan straight back on the last day. It's easy as well.Is it worth getting 20k worth of bonds for 6 months cos that’s when I need to use it for, banks offering shite rates.
