President Joe Biden

It will just lead to a class war, then.
No worse than now.

Ridding the USA of the Trump Dynasty by voting Biden in is much more important to the USA right now; certainly in terms of credibility on the World stage. As VP, Biden was fairly well respected overseas. I see no reason why that would change if and when he is elected President

Chokeholds are being processed now. Nowt to do with the Dems.

Qualified immunity will be restricted, which is a nonsense.

And most 'activists' want that extra funding for their neighbourhoods, such as hospitals and mental health and others.

When you ask the older gen about 'de-funding', they will think it means getting rid of the police or making it smaller.

That's not the intention.

It's noted that 'de-fund' doesn't strike the right terminology for some.
Chokeholds are part of the Justice in Policing Act, which Congressional Dems introduced and have been pushing, and State Legislatures in blue states (like my own New York) have been pushing and passing bills of their own to ban them in recent days... I don't think you understand how politics work if you think that all of a sudden Republicans are now deciding to consider it out of the goodness of their own hearts. They're being pushed.

I'm 100% for police reform, believe me, but "defund" is a loser, and we should stick to the popular stuff for now.

Had 100% of Sanders supporters shown up to support Clinton as opposed to the 80% that did, while 20% sat on their asses pouting or, worse, turned out for Trump just to spite "neolibs" or stir the pot for "change", the Progressive agenda would have been four years farther along under a Clinton administration, and very likely far fewer Americans would be dying too.

Even Sanders understands this.

Progressives, admirably, stand for the "greater good" but in this case only the blind cannot see that the greater good is laying waste to Trump and his congressional enablers at the ballot box by whatever means necessary. If they can't get behind this, they and their agenda deserve to be marginalized, rather than incorporated.

Thankfully, in America, in the real world where I live among Progressives and folks of all types of political persuasions, most have come to the same conclusion. Even my 14 year-old daughter gets it. The only folks running down Biden that I know are Trump cult members.

You keep talking this shit that I "don't understand" what's happening over there. #45 looks like he's going to make it an executive order to ban choke holds in general with caveats. It doesn't matter if he's pushed or not.

You could, effectively and accurately, state that the Dems are being 'pushed' on this as they wouldn't have done anything on it without it. It existed throughout the Obama tenure, after all.

"Popular stuff"? Shit that's been asked for and roundly ignored by Dem 'leadership'? What a joke of an answer!

You seem to credit the Dems with doing no damage to the US at all and blame it solely on the Repubs and #45.

An absolutely ridiculous position to hold.

20%?

1 in 10 Sanders voters changed to #45, so let's not make more stuff up.

And if things are gonna 'change', explain why Biden is not considering even one person as a progressive VP.

I'll tell you why, the Dem 'leadership' have NO intention of that happening when neoliberalism drives the agenda.

The US will be hit by strikes and protests if people don't get more of a fair shake even under Biden.
No shit? No one disagrees with that and yet you’re pretending that’s what I’ve been saying and arguing against it. That’s why it’s not worth responding to you.
