And personally I think the President should able to unilaterally amend the Constitution whenever he likes. That would have fixed that there gun epidemic, eh?

He did on Healthcare to be fair. That was a critical - if not THE critical - component of the of the Obama-Biden platform.
That administration also put in a lot of environmental protection acts.
Guns I have no idea. Not something they touched. Don't know why - maybe they thought they'd lose too many voters.
On the other hand gun control and the environment are much more front and center then they were 12 years ago.

No I do not know any private conversations between Obama and Biden but looks like you do.
So you agree with all the things Biden is asking to imagine
Health care as a right, could not do with 60 senators, think will be slightly more difficult with just 52-53 senators at most - will remain in imagination
Gun violence, could not do without constitution amendment as you agree - will remain in imagination
Combat climate change - Obama increased oil production every year of his presidency and Biden has not indicated any other path he will follow - will remain in imagination
Government for all, after trashing and ridiculing half the population on right and progressives on the left - will remain in imagination.

Obama never had 60 Senators for starters. For about three months he had 58 Democratic Senators (including a guy who just switched over from being a Republican, so hardly a liberal member), Bernie, and Joe Lieberman, a notorious jackass who is the near singular reason the ACA doesn't include a public option today. And all that slacker Obama did during that three month window was pass Obamacare.
