For about three months he had 58 Democratic Senators (including a guy who just switched over from being a Republican, so hardly a liberal member), Bernie, and Joe Lieberman, a notorious jackass who is the near singular reason the ACA doesn't include a public option today. And all that slacker Obama did during that three month window was pass Obamacare.

It's not an argument. Your post implicated that Obama had a huge majority to work with, and he didn't. It was not true.

What's different this time around is that it seems pretty clear the filibuster is going away, so the 60 threshold likely won't apply.
